Inspiration session 1: Unlock the power of data
Data is used in many ways. We are aware of this, but also very often unaware. In this session, we will explore what can be done with data, and how data can work for you too. Furthermore, we will discuss why data and Machine Learning are strongly linked, and what the consequences of this are.
This session is aimed at anyone who:
- Wants to gain insight into how a lot of data is (secretly) being collected
- Want to learn how data makes a computer more efficient, but not smarter
- Want to learn how data can help you in day-to-day operations
- Want to find out why we could share a lot more data
Inspiration session 2: From gut feeling to rationale decision
Our decisions are often not as rational as we think. During this inspiration session, we’ll let you experience how cognitive biases influence our behaviour and I’ll talk about how data can play a role in reducing this bias. But, data alone is not enough, because here, too, it is necessary to look critically.
This session is for anyone who:
- Wants to win a pot of candy;
- Wants more insight into their own or colleagues’ behaviour;
- Wants to know why making decisions based on data is so important;
- Wants to know how to look critically at data and results.
Inspiration session 3: Ask yourself the right questions
Data provides many opportunities. But do we want to make use of all these possibilities? Certain rules are laid down by law, but in addition, it is important to weigh up what is desirable. Is it ethical? And how can you think about this? What questions can you ask yourself? Are there guidelines you can take as a starting point? In this inspiration session, we will give you an insight into the world of data ethics.
